Evolution (My Lover’s Bones)

An Aboriginal man stumbles down a city laneway, pursued by an ancient, malevolent force. As he runs, he can feel the creature’s eyes burning through him – but is he fleeing from the fiend itself, or from the monster he fears he might become? Brown Cab Productions

This visceral theatre piece is an adaptation of a text by Cameron Costello developed by director Margaret Harvey. The creative team looked between the spaces of the word object on the paper to find a truely felt piece of psychological horror, utilising the combined elements of lighting, sound, voice, video and performance.

The use of electronic sound to convincingly portray vast natural landscapes is inspired and otherworldly when permeated with the sound of a human voice.  Suzanne Sandow
